Hi, I'm Alison! Nice to meet you.

A woman with dark hair sitting outdoors on a black chair, holding two dogs on her lap. One dog is a black and tan Chihuahua wearing a pink harness, and the other is a brown dog with a pink collar. The woman is wearing a brown knitted sweater and gray jeans, with a black bag beside her. There are tall plants and a beige wall behind her, and a black round table in front.

Before I taught English, I worked in the luxury fashion industry with designers, buyers, and creative teams from around the world. I often saw talented people hold back their ideas because they didn’t feel comfortable speaking in English. I also saw how things changed when they felt able to express themselves: meetings became smoother, relationships grew, and new opportunities appeared.

That stayed with me.

When I started teaching, I focused on helping people in real professional situations — the moments that matter every day. Over the years, I’ve worked with creatives, entrepreneurs, as well as NATO personnel across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Language is simply a tool we use to communicate. It affects confidence, connection, and how you show up at work.

Living in Italy has also taught me what it feels like to communicate in a second language. I understand the hesitation and the desire to sound like yourself.

My approach is supportive and practical. Together, we work on the situations you face: meetings, presentations, small talk, and professional conversations at work. I believe everyone deserves to feel confident in their voice.

And I’m here to help you find yours in English.
